From May 17 to 19, led by the headteacher of each class, students of Grade 2018 of High School Attached to Shandong Normal University (AHS) undertook their study trips to Qufu, Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou, and Xi’an.

Students in Class 3 and Class 9 made their trip to Qufu, where they visited Confucius Family Mansion, Temple and Cemetery, fully experiencing the charm of Chinese traditional culture and feeling the profoundness of history. Class 1, 7, 8 and 10 went to Shanghai, the so-called “Magic City” and “Eastern Pearl”, and commenced their trip study centering on the theme of “enjoying the fantastic scenery and feeling its great culture”. Students of Class 2, 5 and 6 gathered together for Suzhou and Hangzhou, walking into Zhejiang University, holding a poem contest beside the West Lake and wandering in the Lion Garden to experience its makeup and design. Class 4 flied to Xi’an, the ancient capital of 13 dynasties in China, visiting the Terracota Warriors, Shanxi Historical Museum and Ming Dynasty City wall and feeling the extensive and profound Chinese culture.

Study trips have turned out to be a perfect form of education for students to experience the best traditional culture of China and internalize it into the great motivation for their growth. AHS has been adhering to its educational philosophy of “putting students first and achieving their comprehensive development”. Through study trips students broadened their visions, strengthened the awareness of teamwork and cooperation and set up the great goals for their study as well as their life.
